New qualifications available from August 2014

BTEC Apprenticeships in Digital Media Technology 

This framework will be live from e-skills in August 2014. The competence component of this qualification will be the Level 4 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals (501/1292/2). A new unit has been added to this qualification: Planning, Implementation and Maintenance of IPTV Delivery Systems.

The knowledge component is the Level 4 HNC in Computing and Systems Development (500/8254/1).

BTEC Apprenticeships in Information Security 

These qualifications will be available for registration within the framework from August 2014.

The level 3 framework consists of:

• Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Information Security - this is a combined competence and knowledge qualification.

The level 4 framework consists of:

• Pearson BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Information Security Professional Competence
• Pearson Level 4 HNC in Computing and System Development.
