Pharmacy update - July 2022
An update on everything new within the Pharmacy sector.
Pharmacy Services - WALES
All community pharmacies in Wales will be able to offer an extended range of services from April 2022 as part of substantial reforms agreed by the Health Minister - Eluned Morgan MS. The changes mean that patients will have accessible and convenient NHS services closer to home which will in turn free up GP and other NHS services for patients with more complex needs.
All counter staff are required to have a Level 2 qualification as a minimum requirement. Pearson is proud to support this requirement, via the Foundation Apprenticeship in Health (Pharmacy Services) - where the Pearson Level 2 Certificate in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff is the only recognised qualification by Skills for Health and supported/recognised by GPhC.
Pearson can also support the progression onto the Advanced Framework Advanced Apprenticeship in Health (Pharmacy Services) with the Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians
