New Qualification – Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare
We are working with Skills for Health to develop a new qualification which will be mandatory in the new Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Level 3) apprenticeship standards. The new qualification will be called Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare and will be available for registrations from 1 November 2017.

SASE Apprenticeship Frameworks
The following Health SASE frameworks will no longer be available to new registrations from 1 October 2017:
- Health (Assistant Practitioner)
- Health (Clinical Healthcare Support)
- Health (Dental Nursing)
- Health (Maternity and Paediatric)
- Health (Perioperative Support)

SASE Apprenticeship Consultation
Skills Funding Agency are consulting on a number of SASE Apprenticeships which have been identified as potentially being withdrawn for new starts from 1 April 2018.
The following health frameworks are included in the consultation:
- Health (Emergency Care)
- Health (Healthcare Support Services)
