Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
Alongside other Awarding Organisations and supported by Skills for Care we have made the decision to delay the launch of the new Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.This decision has been made to ensure continuity of the current SASE framework for the Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management Level 5 (England).
The level 5 Diploma will launch in January 2018.
The next chapter for Health and Social Care Diplomas
The new Diplomas in Care which will replace the current Health and Social Care Diplomas in January 2018 are available to view on the Skills for Care website here.
Level 2 and 3 new apprenticeship standards launched by the employer group
Two of the new Apprenticeship standards and assessment plans are now available for adult care employers to use and learning providers to implement. You can read more about the new standards here.
The Institute for Public Policy Research report
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) have published a report calling for the removal of Apprenticeship learning at Intermediate level (Level 2) for 16-18 year olds; citing that learning is better achieved at this level through full time college provision.
