Adult care trailblazer

The first 2 standards for the adult care trailblazer have been approved by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). The standards show what an apprentice will be doing and the skills required of them, by job role.

These are not yet ready for delivery; the group is working on the Assessment Strategy.

19+ funding

The following qualifications have been approved for Skills Funding Agency 19+ funding for 2015/16:


Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)


Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)


Pearson BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (England) (QCF)
