August 2014 update
This month's update includes news of qualifications that have been extended, those expiring for registration and new ones approved for public funding.
Qualification extensions
The following qualifications have been extended to 31 December 2015:

Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Please remember that the current suite of Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualifications (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS) expire for registration on 31 August 2014. The certification end date is 31 August 2017.
The replacement qualifications in Education and Training are now available for registration.
Education and Training
As of 1 August 2014 the following qualifications have been approved for public funding for adult learners by the SFA for 2014/2015:
- Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training (601/1238/4)
- Pearson BTEC Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (601/1238/4).
Youth Work Practice
Please remember that the Pearson BTEC Youth Work Practice qualifications expire for registration on 31 December 2014.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training
We are pleased to announce that the free delivery guide for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training is now available on the website.
The delivery guide sits with the level 3 specification; you will need your Edexcel login details to access the guide.
The free combined Level 4 and 5 delivery guide will be available from 2015.
