Early Years update - August 2020
An update on everything new within the Early Years and Childcare sector.
As per the guidance from Early years foundation stage (updated 28 July 2020) if your Paediatric First Aid (PFA) Certificate expired on or after 16 March 2020 and if PFA certificate requalification training is prevented for reasons associated directly with the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, or by complying with related government advice, the validity of current certificates can be extended to 25 November 2020 at the latest.

Early Years Sector forums
We are running three live online sector forums for Early Years in September.
Tuesday, 15 September - 2pm - 4 pm
Thursday, 17 September - 10 am - 12 noon
Monday, 28 September - 2pm - 4pm
These sector forums are to update you on the sector news and Pearson's offer in the Childcare sector.
These forums are suitable for anyone delivering apprenticeships and work-based learning qualifications in these sectors.
The aim of the day would be to update you on:
- transition from Apprenticeship frameworks to Standards
- Pearson's offer for Standards, qualifications and EPAs
- dispensations for EPA and Qualifications due to COVID-19
- digital content offer for behaviours
- sharing good practice on getting learners ready for EPA
