This month's update includes the latest on funding for our business skills qualifications, and a correction to the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service (QCF) specification.
Business skills funding update
The tables below provide an update on the funding status for our suite of business skills qualifications, both as standalone qualifications for 19+ learners and as component qualifications for Apprenticeships.

We are working with the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to confirm continued support for our vocational qualifications, from both our customers and the employers they work with, in order to ensure that these qualifications remain eligible for 19+ funding. As part of this process, the agency has asked us to include letters that demonstrate industry recognition of these qualifications.
There are a number of qualifications that we still need letters of recognition from providers or employers for, in order to make a submission to SFA for 19+ funding approval. The type of support required is indicated in the above table.

Specification error – Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service (QCF)
We would like to advise centres of the following error within the Version 1 specification for the Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service 601/3424/0.
Learning Outcome 3 is missing from from Unit 8 - Dealing with incoming telephone calls from customers (H/506/2154) and is detailed below:

We have released a Version 2 specification, which includes Learning Outcome 3 and is available to download from the specification page.
Learners who have already achieved certification for Unit 8 - Dealing with incoming telephone calls from customers (H/506/2154) will not need to achieve Learning Outcome 3. All other learners will be required to achieve Learning Outcome 3 in order to meet the unit assessment requirements.
