This will be my last update for you for 6 months. From Monday 13 February I am moving to another team within Pearson to work on some other projects and will return to the Subject Advisor role later this year. Please do continue to use teachingmusic@pearson.com to submit your questions as we have the support in place to cover my absence. I wish you and your students all the best for exams in May/June.

Training events

We are very pleased to be offering free live online training events across GCSE and A level Music NEA components later this term. These events are intended to give teachers more confidence marking NEA work at GCSE and supporting students in the preparation of NEA work for A level.

Exam entries for summer 2023

Exam entries for summer 2023 assessment must be made by 21 February 2023. After this date late entry fees may be charged. Please note that your exams officer will have their own internal deadlines in order to get the information necessary to make entries.

The entry code for GCSE Music is 1MU0. However, there are some option codes for any students resitting the qualification who wish to carry forward marks from the previous series.
