Geography in the News aims to stimulate discussion about the relevance of geography to our lives and its importance in helping us to make sense of the world around us. In this first edition we have selected a relevant news article, with links to our A level specification, and suggested questions for you to discuss with your students.

Article: This edition relates to an article written by Michal Bogusz for the Centre for Eastern Studies, “A disaster of their own making. The demographic crisis in China.”

This article explores the impact of China’s population policies on its current demographic situation and its future international relations.

  The session will focus on the performance of some of the key questions in the series and provide analysis to support  that may help with your delivery this year.

  Module 2 provides a comprehensive exploration of how the specification is evaluated, shedding light on assessment objectives and mark schemes.
