From September 2017, students can be entered for the Entry Level Certificate in English for first first certification in summer 2018. The ELC is available both in the UK and internationally.
Our Entry Level Certificate in English has been designed specifically to align with GCSE English Language 9-1 and provide a progression route for lower attainers. The ELC provides a springboard to GCSE, and supports advancement in English by cementing students’ core understanding.

In the meantime, you can browse the sample assessment materials.
This is a really welcome addition to the range of qualifications available for students not yet ready for GCSE. Delivery is flexible and straightforward. The specification offers plenty of examples of how students can be assessed in writing and speaking and listening but gives you scope to adapt our tasks or devise your own.
