2021 UCAS report 'Where next? – What influences the choices school leavers make?' - identified Economics degrees as particularly hard for many students to access because of a lack of information & opportunities and called for subject-specific outreach.
9th December 14.00-15.00
This event is aimed at school Careers Advisors and Careers Leaders to help you gain more knowledge about the subject of Economics and the pathways from it in education and into employment. This is especially aimed at schools where you do not have an Economics teacher and so there is a gap in provision.
We know that if students do not study a subject at school nor take part in outreach activities associated with a subject then they are unlikely to select it as a degree and a career option.
Join this event to hear from guest speakers at University of East Anglia, Government Economic Service and Inspiring the Future.
Learn more so you can confidently guide your students and raise awareness of opportunities with Economics so we can increase diversity with those studying the subject at HE and becoming key policy makers in the future.
