Use of BTEC National Civil Engineering Diplomas for progression as a Civil Engineering Technician

The Joint Board of Moderators (representing professional bodies ICE, IStrutE, CIHT, IHE, PWI) have updated their approval of the following qualifications, as meeting the academic base for EngTech:

• 603/1217/8 BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• 603/1216/6 BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma on Civil Engineering

A requirement of JBM Accreditation is now that learners must have completed unit 9 Management of a Construction Project as one of their optional units in Group C.
