Important change to mark submission for moderated work - BTEC Tech Awards Construction
From this summer, there’s an important change to how you submit marks and student work for GCSE, International GCSE, A Level, Project Qualifications, Entry Level Certificate and BTEC Tech Awards for internally assessed and externally moderated work. We’re sharing this now, so you have plenty of time to plan ahead.
What’s changing?
You’ll need to submit your centre marks before we release the list of students selected for the moderation sample.
Once you’ve made your entries, submit your centre marks through Edexcel Online. Learner Work Transfer opens on 13 April 2026. If your centre marks are submitted before this date, your moderation sample will be available in Learner Work Transfer from 13 April, and you can upload student work for moderation straight away.
If you submit your centre marks on or after 13 April, your moderation sample will appear in Learner Work Transfer within 6 hours.
What you need to do
The deadline for submitting the moderation sample remains 15 May. Please submit your marks as soon as you’re able to rather than waiting until the deadline, allowing enough time for you to upload your moderation sample.

In March, the Department for Education published the outcome of its consultation on post-16 level 3 and below pathways in England, along with decisions on future qualification funding.
We know you’ll have questions about what this means for you, your students, and the future of vocational and technical education. To support you, we’ve now published our full response to the consultation outcome, outlining the key changes and what they mean for colleges and schools.
We have updated our funding guides to reflect the outcome of the consultation. Below, you can find the funding information for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 academic years and link to funding guides.
Level 2 and 3 Reform Briefings
Sign up to our upcoming briefing where we will bring you up to date with the recent government announcements on Post-16 Vocational reform at Levels 2 and 3 in Construction qualifications.
27 April 2026 at 16:00 - 17:00 GMT
You'll learn more about government decisions on what new qualifications will look like, when each subject area will transition, and what this means for funding of current qualifications.
We are currently in the Summer 2026 exam series session for the Occupational Specialism exams of T levels. The OS exams for the Design, Surveying and Planning qualifications are released in the secure tests area of the website.
