An update for July 2016 for the Science sector.
SASE Apprenticeship Consultation
Skills Funding Agency are consulting on a number of SASE Apprenticeships which have been identified as potentially being withdrawn for new starts from 1 April 2017.
The following frameworks are included in the consultation:
- Laboratory and Science Technicians – Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship
- Life Science and Chemical Science Professionals – Level 4 and Level 5 Higher Apprenticeships

Healthcare Science Standards Verifiers
Pearson are recruiting Standards Verifiers for the new Healthcare Science Apprenticeship qualification.
You will have to meet the following requirements:
Evidence of sufficient and relevant Healthcare Science industry experience, equating to a minimum of 3 years, in specialisms, such as:
- Life Sciences
- Physiological Sciences
- Clinical Bioinformatics
- Physical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering
- Experience in delivering and/or assessing competence-based qualifications or non-accredited programmes
You do not need to be a qualified Assessor or Internal Verifier to apply for this role.
