Things to do this month
Join us on Thursday 25 June at 3.30pm for our summer-term network session, where you’ll pick up practical ideas you can use straight away.
Alongside our usual sharing of good practice, we’ll introduce our new ‘Making the most of AI’ programme. It’s designed to help you create teaching materials more quickly using AI, while keeping them tailored to your curriculum and learners.
As part of this session, you’ll take part in a live, hands-on workshop using Microsoft Copilot. You’ll explore real classroom use cases, see demonstrations in action, and build your own Copilot prompt agent to support your day-to-day work.
Whether you’re just getting started with AI or looking to build on your skills, you’ll leave with practical techniques, fresh ideas and clear ways to start using AI in your teaching straight away.
Our new three-part Getting ready to teach programme helps you get clear on the qualification, plan your delivery and focus on the teaching approaches that help students succeed.
The programme covers:
- understanding the qualification, the assessment model and the risks
- planning your programme, including sequencing and curriculum architecture
- practical teaching moves, anchored to what students need to be able to demonstrate.
It’s designed for different levels of experience: if you’re new to T Levels, it gives you the essentials quickly; if you’re already experienced in the subject, it helps you apply that expertise to T Level delivery. And if you lead curriculum or quality, it gives your team a shared language for planning, consistency and assurance.
Before you attend, make sure you’ve watched the Getting to know the specification on-demand training. Getting ready to teach won’t cover an overview of the TQ structure and specification.
The very late registration window for students who started their TQ in September 2025 closes on 31 July.
After this, you won’t be able to register students with a September 2025 start date. Check your registrations and make sure you’ve included all students from this cohort.
Here’s what to expect for T Level results this summer, so you can plan ahead for results days.
We’ll send TQ component results for the core component (core exams and employer-set project) and the occupational specialism to your exams officer via Edexcel Online on 12 August 2026.
These will include a statement of results for each student and a broadsheet covering all your students across all TQ components. Results are embargoed until 13 August 2026, when you can share them with students.
The Department for Education (DfE) uses these component results, alongside industry placement completion, to issue overall T Level results through the Manage T Level Results service. They'll issue certificates and statements of achievement and report grades to UCAS.

If you have any questions about the Manage T Level Results service, contact tlevel.resultsandcertification@education.gov.uk.
The provider approval window is still open, so now’s the time to apply if you’re planning to deliver any additional T Levels from September 2026. You’ll need approval for each Technical Qualification you want to offer.
Before you start, watch our provider approval video to understand what’s involved and how to apply.
You’ll find step-by-step guidance and all the forms you need on our training and admin support page. Start with the guide to provider approval, then complete the relevant application form for your centre, using the supporting guidance to help you along the way.
If you’re planning to deliver T Level Health or T Level Science, you must have approval in place before teaching starts.
Make sure you apply by 26 June to be approved in time for September 2026 delivery.
Sector updates
We’ll submit a request to Ofqual this month to withdraw the Generation 1 T Level in Accounting (QAN 610/0007/9).
This won’t affect students currently on programme or those starting in the 2026/2027 academic year; they’ll continue on this qualification.
From September 2027, new cohorts will move to the Generation 2 T Level in Accounting.
If you haven’t yet engaged with redevelopment, you can join the provider panel. Email andrew.hambelton@pearson.com to get involved.
We’ll also submit a request to Ofqual this month to withdraw the T Level in Finance (QAN 610/0008/X).
This won’t affect current students or those starting in 2026/2027; they’ll complete their qualification with Pearson.
The DfE has confirmed the T Level in Finance will be retired at the end of the current Generation 1 contract, with the final cohort starting in 2026/2027.
The DfE will contact providers to support the transition to alternative options, including Accounting, Management and Administration, and the new V Level from September 2027.
