“We remain clear that BTECs support a career-focused pathway, which is different to the occupational route of many T Levels. We are very clear that there is a place for T Levels, BTECs and A Levels going forward. It is about providing choice and accessibility to support a diverse range of learners - helping them to progress, realise ambition and also respond to wider economic needs.”

Please note that this second stage consultation looks at Post-16 Level 3 provision only. The deadline for responses is 15 January 2021. Here is the full Post-16 Level 3 consultation.

The next steps for Level 2 and below are set out in a separate document - the DfE's Post-16 Level 2 and below study: Call for Evidence. The deadline for responses in 31 January 2021.

If you would like to contribute to the Pearson response to the consultation or the call for evidence, or have any other questions, contact us at stakeholders@pearson.com. We will keep you updated as our response to the consultation and the call for evidence develop.
