Updated Specifications - BTEC Tech Awards for 2022 included on DfE 2024 KS4 Performance Tables
We are pleased to announce that the following BTEC Tech Awards, for first teach September 2022, have been included in the Department for Education, Key Stage 4 2024 performance tables.

603/7049/X, Pearson BTEC Level 1/Level 2 Tech Award in Engineering has not been approved for the 2024 Key Stage 4 Performance tables. We are asking the Department for Education to review the decision and will let you know as soon the outcome is available.

New January assessment window
As a reminder, we have confirmed that the BTEC Tech Awards will have an additional moderation window in January, the specifications have been updated to reflect this.
(This doesn’t include the BTEC Tech Award in Art and Design, which only has 1 internal component).
Support as you prepare to teach the new specifications

Training to support your delivery - Getting Started events
To help familiarise you with these changes and the course as a whole, we’re running Getting Started events in January, March, May and June 2022.
Later in 2022, we will also be offering training to prepare you for marking the internally assessed components.
