Pearson partners with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences to enhance learning experiences
We are excited to announce a new partnership between Pearson and BASES (British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences) aimed at enhancing the learning experience for BTEC students interested in pursuing a career in sport and exercise science.
As the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK, BASES has confirmed it recognises the BTEC National Sport and Exercise Science qualifications in developing relevant and expected scientific knowledge and skills in the sector. This recognition validates the quality of the programme and assures universities that the qualification meets high academic and professional standards.
Pearson will be working with BASES to provide access for centres and students to find out more about what the Association can offer, including:
- Outreach projects
- Information about careers in sport and exercise sciences
- BASES Higher Education Institutions’ outreach hubs
- Access to online webinars
In addition, students enrolled in BTEC Sport and Exercise Science courses are eligible for Student membership with BASES. This membership, of the largest sport and exercise science network in the UK, provides access to a wide range of member benefits and exclusive online resources, helping students deepen their understanding of course content and supporting their progression to undergraduate study.
In collaboration with BASES, we’ll be working on a new webpage with a hub dedicated with resources for you and your students, which will be launched in January 2025. If you are already delivering BTEC Nationals in Sport and Exercise Science, you can read the latest updates in our newsletter.
