Higher National newsletter April 2021
This month's newsletter includes not only reminders of guidance and document releases but also inspiration for you and your students.
Delivery and assessment in summer 2021
Before Easter, we published detailed guidance about delivery and assessment for BTEC Higher Nationals in summer 2021.
The guidelines outline the use of Teacher Assessed Grades at unit level and assessment board process to be used this year.
Next week we'll run live sessions for centres to explain the guidance in detail and give you an opportunity to ask any questions.
Student survey launches next week
The student survey is a chance for students to tell us about how their studies are progressing and what value they're finding in the qualification. Any student who completes the survey can also enter a prize draw.
Can you help us share the survey with your students? We'll be in touch week commencing 19 April with more details. In the meantime, you can find out more about our previous surveys on HN Global.

The 'what next?' question
Professional bodies across a range of sectors tell us about the value they find in Higher National qualifications. We publish this information to help students progress and give them a peace of mind about their future.
Our newest qualification, Higher Nationals in Digital Technologies, has recently been recognised by the Institute of Science and Technology, giving students an opportunity to apply for professional membership.
A bridging programme suitable for online delivery
If you are looking to offer an online bridging programme to support progression to the Higher Nationals in Business then the International Foundation Programme for Higher Education in Business programme can meet your needs.
