Hi and welcome to the Spring edition of the below level 2 including Level 1 Intro, Entry Level, BTEC Workskills and BTEC Personal Growth and Wellbeing.

Training Events
We have three events currently planned. Two of these are for our BTEC Level 1 and Entry Suite and one is for BTEC Workskills and Personal Growth and Wellbeing. You can register in advance for these events
The first event is called BTEC L1 and Below Best Practice Open Forum: Ask your Senior Standards Verifier. Join us for this Best Practice Open Forum session on September 17, 2025 from 4pm to 5pm.
This interactive forum is designed for Level 1 and Entry Level Teachers to discover best practices, ask questions, and gain insights into effective teaching strategies.
Katie Ordonez will kick off the session with a 10-minute presentation on good practices, followed by a Q&A segment where you can ask your questions directly.

Our second event is on November 12, 2025 from 4pm to 5pm and is called Getting Assessment Right: Assessing BTEC Level 1 Intro qualifications effectively in your classroom
In this event the live session will take you through:
- Methods of meeting the criteria- Ways in which learner work could be evidenced
- How to assess work- How to assess the BTEC Level 1 Introductory qualifications effectively
- Opportunity for questions- Opportunity to ask the trainer SSV Katie Ordonez about any assessment or assessment evidence questions you might have.
This training event provides an opportunity to learn more about how to assess learner work accurately on the full suite of BTEC Level 1 Introductory qualifications.

Finally our third event is on November 6, 2025 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and is called Getting Assessment Right: Assessing BTEC Workskills and Personal Growth and Wellbeing effectively in your classroom.
This live session will take you through:
- Methods of meeting the criteria
- Ways in which learner work could be evidenced
- How to assess work- How to assess both on the BTEC Workskills and Personal Growth and Wellbeing qualifications effectively
- Opportunity for questions- ask the trainer SSV Paul Cliff about any assessment or assessment evidence questions you might have.
This event provides an opportunity to learn more about how to assess learner work accurately on both the BTEC Workskills and BTEC Personal Growth and Wellbeing qualifications.
