Extend to Withdraw BTEC Workskills and Personal Growth and Wellbeing 14-16 in Wales
We would like to inform you that the following BTEC Workskills and Personal Growth and Wellbeing qualifications have been extended to a last registration date of 31 July 2027 for 14–16-year-olds in Wales only.

After this date these will be withdrawn in Wales for 14-16 Year Olds and will be no longer available to teach from 1 August 2027. Certification end date is 31 August 2028. These qualifications will still be available to post 16 centres in Wales.
Centres are advised that after this date a replacement qualification will be offered by Pearson as part of the qualification reform for the 14-16 age group. These qualifications will be called Skills for Life (Personal Growth and Wellbeing) Skills for Work (Workskills) and Skills for Life and Work.
We aim to publish the specifications for these in 2026.
