Applied A level feedback and standardisation events

This autumn, we’ve organised a series of online feedback and standardisation events for heads of departments and teachers of Applied A level subjects wishing to improve their delivery of the specification.

Our events run from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a cost £70 per delegate and can count as two hours of continuous personal development (CPD).

Feedback events

During the online sessions, delegates will:

  • get feedback on national performance of candidates for unit-specific exams for the June 2013 examination series

  • consider questions where significant numbers of candidates underperformed and possible reasons why

  • discuss the Examiner Report

  • address common issues and FAQs.

A level Applied Business standardisation event

This online event has been designed for heads of departments and teachers who have been delivering the A level Applied Business specification. During this online session, delegates will:

  • explore the assessment criteria and requirements for controlled assessment in Unit 2 and 3

  • look at some examples of assessment materials across both units

  • carry out some marking practice exercises

  • address common issues and FAQs.
