When installing the onscreen testing software (Promissor), you must ensure that test takers’ login accounts have the following:

  • Full permissions to the ESM_Test_Centre folder
  • Full permissions to the Administrator folder within the C:/ drive
  • Up-to-date Flash Player.

If any of the above are not set up correctly, your tests will not display graphics. If you need further assistance, please contact us.

On the Enterprise Site Manager (ESM), mark the candidate as a ‘No show’. You won’t be invoiced for ‘no show’ candidates.

Candidates who have completed BTEC onscreen tests will receive the certificate within 10 working days.

Candidates who have completed Functional Skills onscreen tests will receive the certificate within 28 working days.

The certificate will be sent by recorded delivery for the attention of the examinations officer.

It can take up to five working days to have onscreen testing fully installed on your system(s).

To void results, you need to email a void form (available below) to eprocessing@pearson.com. You must include the reasons if you wish to void results, as they will be investigated.

Please ensure that all of the results have been uploaded from Enterprise Site Manager (ESM). If there’s nothing outstanding and results are still not visible, email us at eprocessing@pearson.com.

Your centre must run a demo test on your software and have this confirmed by the technical helpdesk. Once this has been completed, we can allow you to make onscreen test bookings.

If you created your password with capital letters, make sure that you use capital letters when logging in. If the problem persists, please contact your Account Specialist.

Scroll down and click the 'download' button on your Enterprise Site Manager (ESM). This should download the test definition files. If the problem persists, please contact us.

You can find this on the onscreen testing support page.

Onscreen applications take five working days to process. Please check your inbox regularly, as the installation instructions will be emailed to the address provided on your application form. Otherwise, please email us at examsofficers@pearson.com.

Please see our vocational registrations page for details of how to do this.

Demo tests are available for various onscreen BTECs. To find them, select the qualification you’re interested in from the onscreen testing homepage.
