Important points to note

1. You should submit your test notifications at least 5 days in advance of the test date by completing the online Security test notification form.

2. You will have to submit a Security test notification form for each test you undertake, if:

  • more than one test is scheduled on any given day
  • you are running tests at different test venues.

3. If the Security qualifications test is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason, then please let us know at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled test by emailing vqtestinspections@pearson.com with the reason for cancelling or rescheduling the test.

4. If your centre was visited by a Security test inspector, you will receive a Security test inspections visit report within 5 working days of the test inspection visit.

Yes. We understand that you will not always know which learners will be taking the test on a particular date. You only need to notify us of the test date and venue, and inform us of estimated numbers.

Some centres will be visited more than once.

You will be contacted so we can confirm that you understand the requirements of the test inspections process. All centres offering these tests are required to complete the form.

If malpractice is found during the visit, a formal investigation will take place.

These visits will help ensure that centres are delivering vocational tests in line with our requirements and protect the integrity of the qualification.
