What is being assessed?
The end-point assessment for the Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Driver Level 2 apprenticeship standard consists of the following two assessment components:
- Knowledge test comprising short answer questions based on scenarios encountered in the workplace.
- Practical driving assessment consisting of activities observed by the assessor relating to the skills requirements in the apprenticeship standard.
The overall apprenticeship is graded as Pass/Distinction, based on the apprentice’s combined achievement of the specified grading criteria across the two assessment components.
Overall EPA is graded as Pass/Distinction, and the two assessment components are separately graded too.
