New apprenticeships Offer for training providers
We offer advice and support for colleges, employers and learning providers transitioning to the new apprenticeship standards.
From recruitment through on-programme support to end-point assessment, we have what you need to find your way. Our new apprenticeships solution has three key components, mapped to the learner’s journey – from day one to completion.
Are you starting to recruit learners onto the new apprenticeship standards?
What are your next steps?
Now the new standards are rolling out, some of our centres are telling us they are unsure about what should happen and when. Here in a few easy steps is the process centres should be following:
The centre signs a contract with the employer that includes:
- the standards
- number of apprentices for each standard
- start date of learning for the apprentices
- The employer decides which end-point assessment (EPA) organisation they want to use. This decision would be in consultation with you as their provider.
- You should enter into an agreement with your EPA organisation before you or the employer registers the apprentices on the Individualised Learner Record (ILR). If Pearson is your chosen EPA organisation, this would be through the letter of intent.
We provide a clear learning programme with mandatory, recommended or mapped qualifications that support the on-programme element of the new standards and take apprentices from entry through to the gateway for end-point assessment.
You can use our on-programme offer regardless of whether you are using Pearson as your end-point assessment provider.
We offer a wide range of support services, events and resources to help apprentices, assessors, training providers and employers navigate the new standards for different sectors.
There will be a range of different materials explaining the key considerations of the new modes of assessment and how to prepare for them.
We offer high quality end-point assessments designed and ready to deliver for each specific new standard.
Pearson is now one of the largest listed provider of approved end-point assessment (EPA) services for the new-look apprenticeships in England.
You can use Pearson as your end-point assessment provider regardless of whether you choose to use our on-programme offer.
