Core Maths Mathematics in Context (Level 3 Core Maths)
The Department for Education have confirmed that exams will go ahead in 2022, but with a few changes, such as optionality or advance information.
The consultation concluded that advance information about the focus of the content of the exams should be provided for the summer 2022 exams.
For Level 3 Core Mathematics, a similar approach will be implemented to ensure that students are as well-prepared as possible for progression to the next stage of their education, training or employment.
The following arrangements have been confirmed for summer 2022:
To make exams in 2022 less daunting, students will be told in advance some information about the exam content, helping them to manage their exam preparation. The Department for Education has now confirmed that advance information can be released.
You can now access your advance information for May/June 2022.
The advance information should be read alongside the JCQ teacher guidance and the advance information guidance which was published on 9 December.

Exam support materials
No additional exam support materials will be provided. However, students in 2022 will continue to have the source booklet that has been provided in previous exam series.
