Edexcel GCSE (9-1) Mathematics mock service
We know how important it is for your students to be able to sit mock exam papers that they haven’t previously seen in preparation for the GCSE (9-1) Mathematics exam series. We are committed to provide you with secure mock papers at both Foundation and Higher tier with a new set for autumn 2017 available now for you to download.

First set of mock papers - Autumn 2016
Bronze and Silver papers are graduated versions of the mock papers where some structure is added to the questions; this will help students understand what is required and to gain confidence that they can answer the questions. The gold versions are the actual papers themselves.
Around 800 centres with 35,000 Foundation tier and nearly 60,000 Higher tier students submitted their results to autumn 2016 mock exams into ResultsPlus. These results showed how your students performed against the cohort who sat the secure mock.
In addition, we produced a summary report analysing how students performed on the mock papers. We also made available the anonymised raw data so that you can do your own further analysis of the results. Both these documents are available to download below:
As you review the performance of your students and the cohort, do bear in mind that there are a number of limitations when using data from mock exams, as opposed to real summer exams. For example, students have not necessarily completed the course of study or had enough time to practise and prepare for exam assessment. These are outlined in more detail in the introduction to the report.
Many teachers told us they’d like some more mock exam papers before the first examination in summer 2017 and we were delighted to release a brand new set of GCSE (9-1) Mathematics mock exam papers in spring 2017.
