For A level Physical Education, the following arrangements have been confirmed for summer 2022:

  • Permit remote moderation using videoed evidence for all activities.
  • Permit exam boards to explore relaxation of the requirements for provision of evidence, for example, type and quality of videoed evidence and the evidence of participation in competitive sport.

Advance information

To make exams in 2022 less daunting, students will be told in advance some information about the exam content, helping them to manage their exam preparation. The Department for Education has now confirmed that advance information can be released.

You can now access your advance information for May/June 2022.

The advance information should be read alongside the JCQ teacher guidance and the advance information guidance which was published on 9 December.

Following further quality checks after the release of the advance information on 7 February we have updated the A level Physical Education advance information document. On page 1 and page 3 of the advance information, we have removed a bullet point as this information is presented clearly and correctly on the front cover. The new version of this document is named as 'Version 2'. Please check that you have downloaded the latest version.
