Support with Maths for Biologists

We’ve worked with the Field Studies Council to put on training on the use of maths in A level Biology, especially as it relates to statistics and fieldwork. The FSC is putting on two training events – both will cover the requirements of Biology A and Biology B.

You can see further details and make a booking by clicking the links below, which will take you to the FSC's website:

Getting Ready to Teach events

To help you prepare for teaching our new AS and A level qualifications,* we're running free Getting Ready to Teach events this spring.

At these free online and face-to-face events, our experts will look at how the new courses can be delivered in the classroom and guide you through:

  • the structure, content and assessment of our new specifications
  • potential teaching strategies, including co-teaching AS and A level
  • the new approach to practical assessment, including the Practical Endorsement
  • the full range of tools and resources we've designed to help you and your students.

You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to network with fellow teaching professionals, share best practice and get your questions answered by our science team. What’s more, attending these events can count towards your CPD hours too!

Local network events

We run regular network events across the UK where you can get the latest updates on our qualifications and share best practice with fellow science teachers and heads of departments.

Training events

Training events from Pearson UK are designed to help anyone who is interested in, or currently teaching, our qualifications.

Our online training is suitable for both UK and international centres and brings the quality of our face-to-face training to a wider audience in a cost-effective, efficient way.
