Why choose this specification?
The Scottish government requires all personal licence holders to undertake refresher training every 5 years to keep their knowledge up to date and to enable them to retain their personal licences.
As a result, 5 years after the date that a personal licence has been issued, the licence holder is required to complete the Scottish Certificate in Personal Licence Holders (Refresher) at SCQF Level 6. Their licence will be revoked if they do not complete the refresher training.
Licensing boards will send out a notification to personal licence holders 3 months before the 5th anniversary of the issue of the licence. Licence holders should ensure they notify the licensing board that issued their licence of any changes to their name and/or address.
