Why choose this specification?

These qualifications help learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide person-centred support to individuals with a learning disability. They have replaced the Learning Disability Qualification (LDQ).

The National Minimum Standard to offer the LDQ to new workers supporting people with a learning disability has also been replaced with new requirements from the health and social care regulator the Care Quality Commission.
