October 2014 update
This month's update includes news on the Trailblazer standards for hospitality roles, and qualifications at risk of withdrawal following Ofqual review.
The Hospitality group has had, to date, standards signed off for two roles:
- Senior Chef - Craft Cuisine
- Senior Chef - Production Chef.
Two further standards are to be resubmitted as part of Phase 2 for the roles of Travel Manager and Travel Supervisor. As part of Phase 3, three further roles will have standards developed. This will be for the roles of Commis Chef, Chef de Partie and Hospitality Team Member.

Withdrawal of qualifications
Following the Ofqual review of low or unused qualifications, the following qualifications are at risk of being withdrawn by the end of 2014. If your centre will be affected by the withdrawal of these qualifications, please contact us by Thursday 20 November so that we can build a case to keep those that you still require.
