Business Skills Onscreen Assessment Materials – Full Unit Sample Tests Now Available

Pearson Work Based Learning and Colleges is delighted to announce that we are releasing on a phased basis full sample practice tests for the mandatory knowledge units within the following business skills qualifications:

  • Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service (601/3424/0)

Business Skills Sector Forums

Pearson Work Based Learning and Colleges is pleased to advise that our November 2015 Business Skills Sector Forums are available for centres to book on to. Four regional events will be held in the following locations:

The sector forums are for all Business Skills practitioners and/or decision makers at any provider, college, school or employer currently delivering or looking to deliver Business Skills qualifications and/or BTEC apprenticeships. They are designed to keep you up to date with qualification, resource and service developments within the sector. It is assumed that delegates attending these events will have some experience of the sector.

On 1 January 2016, Pearson will be launching newly accredited SVQs at both SCQF Level 5 and SCQF Level 6 that will reflect the most current Customer Service National Occupational Standards (NOS).

Whilst we are in the process of publishing up to date SVQ Specifications, we are pleased to share the following new qualification structure information including a high level mapping document that highlights changes between the current and new SVQs:

Online Business Skills Withdrawal

The following two qualifications will be withdrawn for new registrations on 31 January 2016

  • 600/7872/8 Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Setting up a Business Online (QCF)
  • 600/7873/X Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Online Business Skills (QCF)

Learners already registered on these qualifications will have 12 months from this date to complete and certifications must be claimed by 31 January 2017.
