BTEC Nationals in Music (2018)
We have been working hard to develop the new specifications for BTEC Nationals in Music.
The specifications and sample assessments for the Certificate (180 GLH), Extended Certificate (360 GLH), Foundation Diploma (540 GLH) and the Extended Diploma (1080 GLH) are now available to view online. These are draft documents and the specification is intended for first teaching from September 2018.
However, DfE will still need to confirm the inclusion of the qualification on performance measures in England for 2020.
During the DfE approval process, we may be asked to make changes to any aspect of the qualification including content, assessments or first teaching and assessment dates.
BTEC Nationals in Music Technology (2016-2018)
Results for the January 2018 external assessments were available on 14 March 2018.
Entries for the summer external assessments must be made by 28 March 2018, otherwise there will be a high late entry fee.
Training
There is a free face to face event in London on planning for external assessment and feedback on previous series.
