July 2025 Economics update
Welcome to this July 2025 update.
In this last update of the year there are links to surveys (for both teachers and students) as well as information about the retirement of Active Learn.
I do hope that you enjoy the summer break when it comes but before you go...... please make sure you have completed the preparations for the results days in August detailed at the top of the update.
Date | Activity |
---|---|
1 July | A level and IAL question papers uploaded |
15 July | A level and IAL mark schemes uploaded |
22 July | GCSE & International GCSE mark schemes uploaded |
14 August | Results day for A level and IAL Economics |
19 August | A level and IAL examiners' reports uploaded |
21 August | Results day for International GCSE Economics |
26 August | GCSE & International GCSE examiners' reports uploaded |

Before you go...
After results have been published you may wish to analyse your results using some of the services we have available such as Access To Scripts and Results Plus.
The Access to Scripts portal and ResultsPlus can only be accessed by Edexcel Online users who have the Exam Viewer and ResultsPlus permissions ticked in their Edexcel Online profiles.
Only Exams Officers are able to give teachers this access.
Don’t forget to ask your Exams Officer for access before you break up for the summer, so that you are ready for the post-results period.
Available from results day, our Access to Scripts service allows you to view your candidates’ marked scripts online or download as PDFs, providing transparency of marking and to help you make decisions around requests for reviews of marking and inform future teaching and learning.
ResultsPlus is our online results analysis tool that gives you a detailed breakdown of your students’ performance in their exams.
Once you’ve received your students' results, you can get more insight on their performance on each question at individual student, class or cohort level using ResultsPlus.
This is a recorded session which focuses on best practice when using ResultsPlus, alongside ExamWizard to analyse your students’ examination results, and improve your in-house approach to teaching the topics your students find challenging.
The Professional Development Academy summarises the training that is available to you.

As the end of the exam series has come to an end, we would like you to share your feedback on this year's exam papers. We wish to provide students with the best possible exam experience, and your insights are crucial in helping us achieve this goal. If you're a teacher whose students have taken any of our exams in the May/June 2025 series, we are eager to hear your thoughts.
Your input will be shared with our senior examiners and across our subject teams to help us continuously improve future assessments and enhance the exam experience for students.
We really appreciate your participation in this process, thank you.
Do you currently use ActiveLearn?
ActiveLearn will be retired by the end of 2026 and you will be upgraded to Active Hub our digital teaching and learning platform.
With ActiveHub, you’ll get:
- a user-friendly interface with improved navigation
- enhanced functionality including an insights dashboard, auto-marked activities and an assessment library (dependent on subscription package)
- a mobile-friendly platform, allowing your students to complete homework and interactive activities on the go
If you have a chance to ask any of your students to complete this survey, we would love to hear their feedback. It should take no more than five minutes to complete.
The Economics, Business and Enterprise Association would love to know about your subject-specific professional development needs to help plan activities for 2025-2026.
