Introducing the Edexcel Early Years Conference 2014

17 February 2014

Edexcel Early Years Conference - June 2014

I'm extremely pleased to announce that the BTEC Level 3 National in Children's Play, Learning and Development (Early Years Educator, 2014) has now been accredited for all five sizes in England only.

The accreditation of the new BTEC Level 3 CPLD (Early Years Educator) is fantastic news and, as part of these new changes to the Early Years, we are introducing the first Edexcel Early Years Conference. The details of the conference are below:

Course title: Early Years Conference 2014

Description: This is a full day conference designed for Early Years practitioners who want to learn more about the newly accredited next generation BTEC qualifications in Children's Play, Learning and Development including the Early Years Educator.

The afternoon will include some of the current leading professionals in the field, facilitating key discussions on the professionalisation of the early years workforce and their involvement in the Governmental Nutbrown Review. You will also have the opportunity to gain support and guidance on the planning, implementation, and delivery of Edexcel qualifications through networking.

Normal fee: £50.00
Breakfast and lunch provided?: Yes
Location: London
No of places: 90
Date: 12 June 2014
Start time: 9.30am
End time: 4.30pm

The conference will be held in The Strand in London with fantastic views of the Thames and with exciting opportunities to meet and network with other centres planning to deliver this qualification for the first time. We have organised some key guest speakers for the afternoon to discuss with you their role in the Nutbrown review and the future of the early years workforce.

You will be provided with the specifications, materials and resources to take away and begin planning for first teaching in September 2014. There will also be an opportunity to view textbooks and teaching resources to support you in the delivery of the specifications.

I hope you and your colleagues will join me on the day and be a part of the first Edexcel Early years Conference. Should this be the success I anticipate it will be, my hope is to introduce more conferences around the country.

You can book yourself and your colleagues today by one of the following methods:

  1. On the Training for Pearson page, type in the event code and complete the online form.
  2. Email with the name and centre number of all attendees.
You can also call 0844 463 2815, where Jo will be able to book you on to the event.
  3. There are only 90 places for this conference so please book as soon as possible to secure a place.

Should you need any further information, please feel free to contact me. Otherwise Jo and I look forward to seeing you in June.

Kind regards
