Pearson LCCI September 2020 examination series

As things currently stand, we are preparing for the next available examination series in September 2020.

Please note that the entry window will be open between Wednesday, 1 July 2020 and Monday, 27 July 2020. All centres must submit their examination entries no later than 27 July 2020 using the QMA system.

Key points:

  • If candidates enter for the September exam series and subsequently are unable to sit the exam due to COVID-19, their exam registration will automatically be transferred to the next available exam series at no cost to themselves. This is the same process taken for the April exam entries.
  • Refunds will be permitted for candidates who are unable to transfer to a subsequent series as a result of COVID-19.
  • Diploma claims can be extended beyond the 24-month period for any learners who are affected. No learners will be disadvantaged as a result of COVID-19 and exam rescheduling.

In all three instances above, candidates will need to contact their regional representative.

Please refer to the latest news for further details regarding on-demand and series examinations, updated exam timetable and the latest FAQs.

Pearson LCCI Financial and Quantitative Suite

Level 2 & Level 3 Business Statistics

A reminder that the last assessment for the legacy qualifications and the first assessment for the revised versions of these qualifications will be September 2020.

Please note the specifications are not new and have minimal content changes; it is the assessment style and structure that has changed for the two qualifications.

As there is an overlap in provision between legacy and new specifications, centres will need to ensure they select the correct Q-number when registering learners on QMA.

Level 3 Advanced Business Calculations

A reminder to continue to use the legacy specification to deliver this qualification, which will run until 31 December 2021.

Level 3 Computerised Accounting Skills

A reminder to continue to use the legacy specification to deliver this qualification, which will run until 31 December 2021.

Dispatch of certificates

Due to the impact of COVID-19, it was decided to hold the dispatch of all certificates and hard copy results documents for LCCI and other qualifications.

As lockdown restrictions are beginning to ease in different regions, we are starting to see more centres opening and as a result of this, we have started dispatching certificates from 29 May 2020.

Please note there may be a delay to dispatch and receipt due to local workplace restrictions as a result of COVID-19. Please contact eprocessing@pearson.com for any queries regarding certificates.

ACCA exemption extensions

In the last edition of this newsletter, we informed you about the upcoming changes to the ACCA exemptions for qualifications within the LCCI Financial and Quantitative suite. Given that the LCCI examination series in April, June and July have been cancelled, ACCA have kindly extended the previous exemption period until the end of 2020.

This fantastic news allows students to be able to sit their examinations later this year and still be awarded the previously agreed exemptions when applying for ACCA papers. The new exemption period will therefore come into effect on 1 January 2021.

As a reminder, the best place to view the exemptions, based on the student graduation date, is by going to the ACCA Exemptions Calculator.
