LCCI Financial and Quantitative - February 2020 update
We have recently made changes to key dates relating to five qualifications in the Pearson LCCI Financial and Quantitative suite. Please take note of the information below as it may affect your exam schedules and how you register students using QMA.
Level 2 Cost Accounting and Level 3 Cost and Management Accounting
Please note we have moved the first assessment for the revised versions of these qualifications from April 2020 to April 2021. The last assessment for the legacy will be April 2021.
The revised sample assessment materials (SAMs) for L2 Cost Accounting (ASE20110) and L3 Cost and Management Accounting (ASE20111) have been temporarily removed from the website. The documents will be available again soon and we will communicate when these are updated.
Level 2 and Level 3 Business Statistics
First assessment for the revised versions of these qualifications will remain as June 2020. The last assessment for the legacy will be June 2020.
Level 2 Business Calculations
The new specification has been available for first teaching from September 2019, with first assessment in November 2020. The last assessment for the legacy specification is November 2020. There will not be a resit-only opportunity for the legacy in June 2021; this will now be a normal series for the redeveloped specification only.
Implementation schedule and impact on QMA
In the exam series where there is an overlap in provision between the legacy and new specifications as outlined in the table below, both legacy and new qualifications will appear in QMA with their associated Q-number. Consequently, it is key that, when centres register learners for that series, they ensure learners are entered onto the correct qualification.
|Last assessment series
|First assessment series
|L2 Cost Accounting||April 2021 (ASE20094)||April 2021 (ASE20110)|
|L3 Cost and Management Accounting||April 2021 (ASE20098)||April 2021 (ASE20111)|
|L2 Business Statistics||June 2020 (ASE20096)||June 2020 (ASE20108)|
|L3 Business Statistics||June 2020 (ASE20100)||June 2020 (ASE20109)|
|L2 Business Calculations||Nov 2020 (ASE2003)||Nov 2020 (ASE20105)|
We have listened to feedback from our stakeholders and have removed the resit-only opportunities for the legacy qualifications, and these will now be a normal series. Therefore, all learners will be able to register.
