GCSE and A level Persian

In addition to the subjects we informed you about on 22 April, we're pleased to announce that we'll be developing Edexcel GCSE Persian and A level Persian for first teaching in 2018.

Our GCSE and A level language qualifications for first teaching in 2017 and 2018 are:

• Edexcel GCSE and A level qualifications in Italian, Russian and Chinese, and GCSEs in Arabic, Modern Greek, Japanese and Urdu for first teaching in 2017.
• Edexcel GCSE qualifications in Gujarati, Turkish, Portuguese, Biblical Hebrew and Persian for first teaching in 2018.
• Edexcel A level qualifications in Arabic, Modern Greek, Japanese, Urdu, Gujarati, Turkish, Portuguese and Persian for first teaching in 2018.

We'll continue to offer our existing GCSEs and A levels in Italian, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Modern Greek, Japanese and Urdu until the new qualifications are launched.
