BTEC approach to adaptation to delivery and assessment in 2021/2022
2021-2022 BTEC Delivery and Certification Processes
PLEASE NOTE: All BTEC external assessments for 2021/22 are expected to go ahead. In light of feedback from centres, the January series will commence one week later (from 12 January) with results day moving to 23 March. The February series will also commence one week later (from 7 February) with results day moving to 6 April.
Final timetables for January, February and March 2022 are now up on the website and included in the BTEC External Assessment Overview document, available on the Exams Officers and Exam Timetables pages.
We have released our provisional Summer 2022 timetables, for centre feedback. You can find these on our provisional timetables web page.
Any feedback on these provisional timetables should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org before Friday 22 October 2021. Once these timetables are final, they will be published in the BTEC External Assessment Overview document, found on our timetables web page.
You can find approved adaptations to internal assessment below. Please note all content must still be taught.
We are pleased to confirm our approved updated adaptations of 'streamlined assessment' for the Level 3 BTEC Nationals, Level 2 BTEC Technicals and Level 1/2 BTEC Firsts, below.
Approved adaptations for the Level 1/2 Tech Awards can be found on the link below, to confirm, all adaptations have been carried over from 2020/21 to 2021/22 academic year for these qualifications.

Please note: Any adaptations to assessment arrangements for 2021/2022 are not intended to be carried forward to 2022/2023. Schools and colleges should be preparing to deliver full assessment for those learners due to be assessed in 2023.
