ePEN stands for electronic Performance Evaluation Network. It's an online system which displays questions from scanned scripts for examiners to access and mark from home. Senior Examiners have access to real time monitoring, quality control, reporting and other functionality to support marking supervision.
All ePEN users will need to carry out the following steps in preperation for marking:
- You will have accepted your contract for the Paper and as part of that acceptance, confirmed you have the required operating systems to carry out marking on ePEN.
- Prior to standardisation you will receive your ePEN2 welcome email continaing your user name and password.
- You should access the ePEN practice site immediately to ensure you can mark on your device.
- Roughly 48hrs after your contracted examination has been taken you will be able to log into the Live site to carry out famiarisation marking.

Log into the practice site
To ensure you are able to use ePEN on your device and familiarise yourself with the system functionality, we recommend that you log into the practice site. You must access the website with Internet Explorer and login with you AA number and the password which was provided in your ePEN welcome email.
Log into the live site
The live site contains answers from the series you have been contracted to mark on. You must access the website with Internet Explorer and login with you AA number plus the paper suffix and the password which was provided in your ePEN welcome email.
