New Security qualifications: queries regarding pending certifications

A communication regarding pending certification queries was sent out on 13 May, 2021 which is shared below. This is an update to that communication: 

Update

This communication relates to the new BTEC Security qualifications:

• CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) (2021)
• Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry (2021)
• Door Supervisor (2021)
• Security Officer (2021)

Centres are no longer able to view test results for the new BTEC Security qualifications via the individual Candidate Details screen on Edexcel Online. Results will now need to be accessed via Candidate Results Reports using the following process:

1. Log into EOL using your centre credentials 
2. Select Qualification “BTEC”
3. Navigate to the ‘Candidates’ option and select ‘BTEC Security Reports’ from the drop down menu
4. Select ‘Exam Results Report’ from the ‘Exams Results Report’ drop down menu
5. Select the relevant Programme and Unit from the drop down menus and enter the Test Date Range, Registration Number and Centre Reference Number 
6. Submit this information to retrieve the candidate results

It has come to our attention that there are a number of queries regarding pending certification for the new BTEC Security 2021 qualifications. This includes the following qualifications:

• CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) (2021)
• Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry (2021)
• Door Supervisor (2021)
• Security Officer (2021)

Please be advised that for the new qualifications, learners must pass both the internal assessments and the external on-demand tests before they can receive certification.

BTEC Specialist and Professional quallifications

When clicking on the qualification that the learners are completing, the specification should be available for download from the page. Please note, that unless stated otherwise in the specification, learners need to pass all assessments in order to receive certification.
