For the attention of centres that have entered students for the Religious Studies Entry Level Certificate.
This update contains guidance on digital submissions for the Entry Level Certificate in Religious Studies.
After entering students for Pearson’s Entry Level Certificate (ELC) in Religious Studies you will be assigned a moderator, whose details will appear on Edexcel Online (EOL) each year, from mid-April.
Student scores can then be submitted for each assessment, using the assessment record and authentication sheet. This sheet is available in Appendix 1 of the ELC specification or in the link below:
Submissions for the ELC in Religious Studies are to be submitted digitally using the Learner Work Transfer (LWT).
A pre-selected moderation sample will be generated for you, which should be uploaded via LWT. As part of the sample, candidates with the highest and lowest mark must be included, even if they are not already part of the sample selected on LWT. If 10 or more candidates are entered for the ELC, a minimum of ten samples must be submitted, even if fewer samples are selected by the system.

We encourage all users of the LWT platform to refer to the FAQs, whilst using the system. You can access and view the FAQ’s click the link below:
The submission deadline (to submit marks onto Edexcel Online and to upload candidate work to the LWT) is 15 May in the year of certification. This means that all tests that you would like to submit for your students need to be completed by this date.
