Many of you will have already attended the free collaborative network events set up to support teachers deliver GCSE courses remotely during ‘lockdown’. Indeed, a range of events were organised earlier this term that proved extremely popular and resulted in some terrific feedback. You can now access the slides from the April and May sessions on our website. 

Apart from sessions considering centre assessment grading, resources for listening and vocabulary building and accessing free Pearson ActiveBooks, Joe Dale (Independent languages & technology consultant) was also commissioned to lead a couple of sessions on online resources and linked teaching and learning activities. There’ll be more free GCSE training opportunities later this term. These will include ‘New to Edexcel GCSE’ events scheduled for 25th June (German), 30th June (Spanish) and 8th July (French). 'Developing and maximising pupils' speaking and writing skills '(French, German and Spanish), 'Developing and maximising pupils' listening and reading skills' (French, German and Spanish), Mastering grammar and translation (French, German and Spanish) and Building strong foundations at Key Stage 3 (French, German and Spanish) are other events planned this summer.
