The end-point assessment for this apprenticeship is made up of three components:
- Written Exam: The 2 hour written exam will incorporate short and extended scenario based questions, with some questions requiring the apprentice to consider an action or solution based on a ’real-life’ work-placed activity.
- Retail Business Project: A 30 minute presentation including Q&A delivered by the apprentice to the independent assessor on a business project focusing on a strategic challenge, opportunity or idea with the retail environment. The project is scoped at least one month prior to readiness for end point assessment and presented within the four month end point assessment period.
- Professional Discussion: A one hour structured discussion between the independent assessor and apprentice, involving the employer, focusing on how they have performed during the apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is graded pass and distinction based on the apprentice demonstrating competence against all of the pass and distinction assessment criteria.
