Terms and conditions
Please read our terms and conditions for access to, and use of, our Skilled for Life resources ("the Resources").

In accessing and using these Resources you agree to be bound by the terms set out below. Please read this document carefully and store it safely.
This is a legal agreement between you as customer of Edexcel and Edexcel, part of Pearson Education Ltd of Edinburgh Gate, Harlow, Essex, CM20 2JE registered as a company in England and Wales under company number 872828 ('Pearson') which expression shall include Pearson's assigns and successors in business) arising from your registration of learners on the Edexcel Skilled for Life programme and relating to the Resources provided by Pearson. In using the Resources you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.
1. Copyright
© Pearson Education Ltd 2013. All rights reserved. The Resources and all data, documentation and other materials contained in it are owned by or are under licence to Pearson and are protected by law. The provisions of this clause shall continue in force after expiry or termination of this licence for any reason.
2. Security
You are solely responsible in all respects for all use of and for protecting the confidentiality of any username, email verification and password that may be given to you or selected by you for access to the Resources. You may not share these with or transfer them to any third parties. You must notify Pearson of any unauthorised use of them or any other breach of security regarding our website that comes to your attention by email, ukdataprotection@pearson.com.
3. Permitted use
You are permitted to use the Resources on individual computers and on the institutional network within the purchasing institution only.
You may download, stream, annotate, copy or print out sections of the Resources only where expressly allowed in the Resources (for the avoidance of doubt, this includes photocopying by teachers for distribution within the purchasing institution, interactive use by end user learners which might require saving any part of the Resources to a retrieval system for such use, and streaming) and solely for use within your institution.
4. You may not
- Transfer or resell the Resources, or grant any other rights of any kind of any individual copy of the Resources to any third party modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works based on the Resources other than as specified in these Terms and Conditions.
- Copy, save, store in a retrieval system, publish, transfer, disseminate or use, in any form or by any means, any part of the content contained within the Resources, unless specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions.
- Remove any proprietary notices, labels or marks on the Resources.
5. General
The Resources are made available 'as is'.
Although we take every care to ensure accuracy, we make no warranties as to the accuracy of the information we place on our web pages. The extent of our liability for any breach of these Terms and Conditions shall be limited to the value of the goods or services ordered by you in the learner registration transaction with Pearson, which renders you eligible for access to these Resources, however nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.
We do not make any representation or give any warranty or undertaking as to the quality of the goods, their correspondence with description or fitness for purpose, or that the goods are not defamatory, injurious, obscene or unlawful, or that any trade marks or copyright used on or in connection with the goods do not infringe any intellectual property rights not owned by us.
As far as is permitted by law, all implied warranties, conditions or other terms are hereby excluded. We shall not in any circumstances be liable for any special, indirect, consequential or economic loss (including but not limited to loss of profits, business, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings) howsoever caused.
If for any reason part of these Terms and Conditions is unenforceable, the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
You are not permitted to remove or amend any trade mark, copyright or other proprietary notice on any of our Resources. You acknowledge that all rights in and to any and all copyrights, knowhow and other intellectual property rights relating to our Resources are and shall remain our property. You will not at any time do, or cause to be done, any act or thing which impairs or infringes those rights.
These Terms and Conditions and all contracts under these Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
We reserve the right to terminate any contract formed under these Terms and Conditions immediately by written notice and to take action to recover damages suffered by us if you breach any of these provisions.
