Unfortunately, we don't currently offer BTEC courses in Design and Technology. We do offer the Entry Level Certificate in Design and Technology, which is a stepping-stone course that offers progression to GCSE and A level D&T courses.

Unfortunately, due to DfE and Ofqual regulations, our customer services team won't be able to discuss results for exams and coursework over the phone or by email. Instead, find out how to make an Enquiry About Results.

The resources you can use to deliver courses in Design and Technology are quite flexible.

  • You'll find materials on the relevant qualification page.
  • For further resources, please see our Pearson publications website or call 0845 630 1111.*
  • For hard-copy versions of non-secure downloadable material (such as exam papers and specifications), call Edexcel Publications on 0845 172 0205.*

OSCA (Online Support for Centre Assessors) is the online system that facilitates BTEC coursework accreditation and provides access to examples of marked candidate work. As there are no Design and Technology BTECs, OSCA isn't relevant to D&T.

The PGCE plus a university Bachelor’s degree, in addition to GCSEs in Maths, English, Science and the subject they wish to deliver, are required for those who want to teach and assess GCSE and A level Design and Technology.

For special considerations or requirements, please get in touch with our Special Requirements team at uk.special.requirements@pearson.com.
