This pre-recorded training is designed to support teachers with the marking and internal standardisation of this internally assessed unit. Ideal for teachers currently delivering our Edexcel GCE Design and Technology 2008 specification.

Delegates will:

  • recap on specification requirements and look at what makes a suitable Resistant Materials product
  • explore the requirements around 2D and 3D outcomes
  • understand and apply the assessment criteria with marking activities
  • cover effective administration and how to meet all requirements for submission.

This training looks at the GCE Design and Technology 2008 specification and will not address the AS and A level Design and Technology for first teaching from September 2017.

This pre-recorded training is designed for teachers wishing to receive feedback on our Edexcel GCE Design and Technology 2008 specification. This event will focus on Unit 3.

Delegates will:

  • receive feedback on national performance of candidates in Unit 3 of the June 2016 series
  • consider the variation of candidates' performance on different questions and possible reasons why 
  • look at the Examiner's Report.
